Samara Serotkin

Samara Serotkin, PsyD, Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Samara Serotkin is a licensed clinical psychologist and holds a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She completed her doctoral dissertation on the association between creativity and self-actualization and continues to have an interest in the positive effects creativity can have on people’s self-growth. Dr. Serotkin has been a practicing therapist for over 10 years and has worked with clients in a wide variety of settings, from outpatient therapy to working in a psychiatric hospital. Dr. Serotkin enjoys a regular mindfulness practice and has a deep passion for finding ways to integrate mindfulness in her daily life. She has gone on retreat with the Buddhist monk and author Thich Nhat Hanh and enjoys teaching others about mindfulness meditation. She often leads co-workers in brief mindfulness meditation sessions.

Dr. Serotkin enjoys a wide variety of creative activities, from dancing to ceramics. She enjoys cooking and various arts and crafts. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband David and their young son, Henry.
